Academica Hub

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Academica (“Academica,” “we,” or “us”) handles personal information in Academica Hub at academicahub.com. Academica Hub is the internal sign-in and tools portal for Academica employees and for the staff and board members of the charter schools Academica serves. It is not offered to students or parents, and it is not directed to children.

Information We Collect

  • Your name and work email address.
  • Your school, department, or position.
  • Your mobile number, only if you choose to turn on Academica Hub sign-in codes.
  • Your sign-in activity: when you sign in, whether you used a password or a text code, and related security events such as incorrect codes.
  • A record of your consent to receive sign-in codes by text: the date and time, the number, and the exact wording you agreed to.

How We Use It

  • To give you access to your account and the tools assigned to you.
  • To keep accounts secure, including limiting and detecting unauthorized sign-in attempts.
  • To send the sign-in codes you request.
  • To send account notices, such as an email when the sign-in number on your account changes.

Text Messages: Academica Hub Sign-In Codes

The Academica Hub sign-in codes program is optional. You join it inside Academica Hub by entering your mobile number, checking the consent box, and confirming the number with a code we text you. After that, we text you a one-time code only when you request one, to sign in or to confirm your number. We never send marketing or promotional texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. You can always sign in with your password instead.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We share personal information only with service providers that run Academica Hub for us, such as our text message and email delivery provider and our hosting providers, and only so they can provide that service. We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Retention

  • Your mobile number is kept while sign-in codes are turned on, until you remove it or your account is closed.
  • Sign-in codes are stored only in a scrambled, one-way form and are deleted after 30 days.
  • Consent records and sign-in records are kept with our security records while your account is active, and as long as needed for security and legal purposes.
  • Your account information is kept while you have an Academica Hub account.

Removing Your Number

To stop sign-in codes, open Settings, then Password & Security, and choose Remove next to your number. You can also reply STOP to any sign-in code text, or email us. Removing your number does not affect signing in with your password.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including limits on code attempts and encrypted connections.

Changes to This Policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
